Naomi Judd’s Alleged Cause Of Death Revealed – It’s Heartbreaking

The country music world is in mourning this week after the death of the legendary Naomi Judd, who died on Saturday at the age of 76. Now, multiple sources are speaking out to confirm how she died.

Naomi Judd’s Alleged Suicide

Multiple sources have confirmed to People Magazine that Naomi committed suicide on Saturday, one day before she was set to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

“There is an investigation by law enforcement and the coroner’s office,” a rep for Naomi told Fox News

Naomi’s daughters Wynonna and Ashley had indicated that it may have been a suicide in their statement announcing her passing.

“Today we sisters experienced a tragedy. We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness. We are shattered,” the sisters said. “We are navigating profound grief and know that as we loved her, she was loved by her public. We are in unknown territory.”

Naomi’s Mental Health Struggles

This reportedly came after years of mental health struggles, which Naomi had been open about with her fans. In a 2018 op-ed that she wrote for Mental Health Awareness Week, Naomi discussed suicide in an extremely open way.

“For everyone mourning the death of someone who committed suicide, an inevitable question arises: Why did this happen? Unfortunately, we don’t have very good answers,” she wrote at the time.

“We do know that suicidal behavior accompanies many behavioral brain disorders such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and depression,” Naomi added. “Suicide is actually one of the leading causes of preventable death among these mental illnesses.”

In her 2016 memoir “River of Time: My Descent into Depression and How I Emerged with Hope,” Naomi revealed her own struggles with depression to the world.

“Nobody can understand it unless you’ve been there,” Naomi said at the time. “Think of your very worst day of your whole life – someone passed away, you lost your job, you found out you were being betrayed, that your child had a rare disease – you can take all of those at once and put them together and that’s what depression feels like.”

Wynonna Speaks Out

Just one day after her mother’s death, Wynonna attended the Country Music Hall of Fame ceremony with her sister Ashley to accept the honor on Naomi’s behalf. It had been planned that Wynonna and Naomi would be inducted together, as they are each seen as country music royalty.

“I’m gonna make this fast because my heart’s broken — and I feel so blessed,” Wynonna said on the stage. “I mean, it’s a very strange dynamic to be this broken and this blessed.”

Rest in peace, Naomi Judd.

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
