Before even getting into pro wrestling, Moose had an athletic background. While he did not become a major player, he did spend time on three NFL teams.

He debuted for Ring Of Honor, but decided to leave. Then, he signed with Impact Wrestling where he still remains.

Typically, he is close to the title picture or in big storylines. In fact, he won the Impact Wrestling World Championship at Bound for Glory and just lost it last month.

Moose’s original Impact Wrestling deal started in 2016 and lasted for two years. When the contract was up, Fightful Select reports how WWE contracted him.

He was ready to join WWE on the promise he would be go right to the main roster. Everything changed when Vice President of Impact Wrestling Scott D’Amore offered a much better deal.

The current deal between Moose and Impact Wrestling might expire this year. WWE approached him last year, so they might do the same again.

A huge issue for Moose will be an incident from 2009 with his then wife. She accused him of domestic abuse, which resulted in a divorce and suspension from the NFL.

For decades, Kane worked full time for WWE a wrestler. Then, he began to appear less and is currently taking a long sabbatical from in-ring work.

That is because Kane, real name Glenn Jacobs, entered politics. In the 2018 general election, Jacobs easily defeated his Democratic opponent.

Therefore, Jacobs became the mayor of Knoxville, Tennessee. He will look to keep his job during his reelection bid.

So far, things are going well for Jacobs. He ran unopposed and took home 24,675 votes.

Now, he is set to battle Debbie Helsley this fall for the mayoral chair. After clinching the parties nomination, Jacobs released the following statement.

“Now more than ever, we must stand strong to defend our conservative values, and as your Mayor, that’s exactly what I will do. I’m humbled by your support and thank each of you for entrusting me to be your Republican nominee, and together, we will win in August to ensure Knox County remains the best place to live, work and raise a family.”

Heading into the final stage of the race and Jacobs is likely to keep his seat. Typically, the town votes in favor of Republicans.

Kane’s last official match with WWE was the 2021 Royal Rumble. He was a surprise entrant before being tossed out by Damian Priest.

That same year, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. He sort of makes history as WWE does not induct talent that still wrestlers from them.

Most recently, he was spotted in attendance for the Hall of Fame induction of the Undertaker. And, he had a great backstage moment with Ezekiel.
