Big E Neck Injury Update Is Not Good News, WWE Lied To Fans

Big E has an update about his broken neck and it is not good news. Also, WWE lied about a huge match as they never planned to book it.

Big E Neck Injury Update Is Not Good News

Last year, Big E had arguably the best year of his pro wrestling career. He won Money in the Bank and then successfully cashed-in to became WWE Champion.

Then, 2022 arrived and things went from bad to worse. First, Big E lost the WWE Championship at the Day 1 pay per view.

That loss ended his first major title run at only 115 days. Unfortunately, that bad luck continued into March.

On the March 11 episode of SmackDown, Big E took an overhead belly-to-belly suplex from Ridge Holland. He landed on his head and bounced around the outside.

As SmackDown was ending, Big E took to Twitter. He uploaded a video to confirm his neck was broken.

Some neck injuries cause a person to miss months of action, a year and others do no survive. At the time, Big E seemed lucky as he was not paralyzed and hoped to be out of the neck brace in a few months.

Big E Gives The Bad News

This morning, Big E updated fans. As you can tell, the recovery is not going as planned.

A week after breaking is neck, Big E was spotted outside walking around. It seemed like a good sign during his long road to recovery.

For what it is worth, things could have been worse. Big E noted how doctors said he nearly escaped a stroke, paralysis or death.

The WWE roster is massive, but Big E might have the most positive attitude. Even during such a difficult and scary time, he remains upbeat.

From everyone at Wrestle Newz, we continue to wish Big E a safe recovery. That WWE Championship will be waiting for when he returns.

For several weeks, WWE was promoting RK-Bro vs The Usos for WrestleMania Backlash. The winners would then hold both set of tag team titles.

So, that was changed within the past seven days. Now, it will be Roman Reigns & The Usos vs Drew McIntyre & RK-Bro.

The decision was not made on the fly. In fact, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated this was the plan all along.

That match could headline the pay per view on Sunday. Or, it could go to Ronda Rouse vs Charlotte Flair.

Do look for WWE to build towards Reigns’ next title defense. A match against McIntyre at a stadium show in England seems likely.
