Karrion Kross was released by the WWE in November of last year. Since he was let go, he’s wrestled in Major League Wrestling (MLW) and New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW). A new report reveals that AEW also had him in mind for a specific storyline.

AEW Considered Karrion Kross For Storyline

MJF has worked hard to place obstacles in front of Wardlow, as the superstar tries to get out of his contract to shine on his own. One example of this was the match he had against W. Morrissey.

Wardlow defeated Morrissey during that confrontation. According to Fightful Select, the Impact Wrestling talent wasn’t the only star AEW thought of for the storyline.

As per the report, Killer Cross (a.k.a. Karrion Kross) was first approached for the angle. However, an agreement could not be reached.

While Tony Khan went in another direction, during the ROH Supercard of Honor Post-Show scrum he reveals that he likes Kross’s (and Scarlett’s) work. He also notes he’s open to working with them in the future.

Could There Be A Future AEW Storyline For Karrion Kross?

It’s being said the reason a deal couldn’t be reached was that Kross learned Scarlett wouldn’t be part of the AEW match. He worried that his intro to AEW’s audience would be the same as his WWE main roster debut.

It is believed that Kross and AEW are on good terms. There’s also a good chance they’ll work together in the future.

Speaking of working together again, another released WWE superstar, John Morrison, recently debuted in AEW. But will All Elite fans see him again?

Johnny Elite Return?

Will fans ever see Johnny Elite return? According to the Wrestling Observer, Tony Khan notes that he is interested in bringing the talent back sometime in the future.

In fact, AEW’s president states he was happy to have him part of the Owen Hart Cup tourney. While Johnny Elite is not part of the roster yet, it could be coming at some point.

Johnny Elite’s History

John Morrison is a unique talent that has done it all in the land of professional wrestling. In addition to working with the WWE, he’s also performed for Lucha Underground, Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide, Impact, as well as other various indie promotions.

For fans that recall, he got into wrestling in 2002 when he won the WWE reality television show, Tough Enough III. He was sent to Ohio Valley Wrestling to train and was eventually promoted to the main roster in 2005.

During his career, he’s scored many championships including the Impact World title, AAA Mega Championship, Lucha Underground Championship, as well as the ECW World title and IC title in the WWE. He’s also won several tag team titles in various promotions.

If Johnny Elite were to return to AEW, the fans would gladly welcome him with open arms. In addition to his achievements in the pro wrestling world, whether he plays heel or face, viewers enjoy watching him in the squared circle.
