UFC Fight Night Results: Tom Aspinall Submits Alexander Volkov

The Octagon set up shop in London Saturday for UFC Fight Night: Volkov vs. Aspinall.

In the main event, Tom Aspinall secured a straight armbar in the first round to finish Alexander Volkov. The entire event aired live on ESPN+ from The O2 Arena in London.

Arnold Allen finished off Dan Hooker in the co-main event, ending it just over two minutes into the opening round.

The long-awaited Octagon debut of Paddy Pimblett almost was a disaster. Pimblett was knocked down early by Kazula Vargas before responding.

Pimblett left the fans delighted, locking up a first round submission. After, he celebrated with UFC president Dana White.

Veteran Gunnar Nelson picked up a one-sided decision over Takashi Sato, sweeping the scorecards in a welterweight contest.

Molly McCann made an emphatic statement, knocking out Luana Carolina with a spinning back elbow in the third. That followed Ilia Topuria’s stunning second round finish of Jai Herbert.

On the prelims, Makwan Amirkhani submitted Mike Grundy, with Paul Craig also earning a submission, locking up Nikita Krylov in the first.

Sergei Pavlovich finished Shamil Abdurakhimov, Jack Shore and Elise Reed picked up decision wins, and Muhammad Mokaev submitted Cody Durden to begin the card.
