WM 38 Match For Steve Austin, Brock Lesnar – Changes In Locker Room

“Stone Cold” Steve Austin is expected to be at WrestleMania 38 this year, which will be held in Dallas Texas. In the past, his role has involved duties outside the ring, but word has it he may have come out of retirement for WM 38, with one more match.

WM 38 Match For Steve Austin

As per a report from Fightful Select, the WWE is thinking about a match for Austin that would pit him against Kevin Owens. Now that KO is using Stone Cold’s finisher, it could be a “Stunner” versus “Stunner” bout.

Austin hasn’t wrestled in 19 years. In fact, his last match took place at WrestleMania 19.

Since then, many superstars have tried to convince Steve out of retirement, for “one more match”. However, that has yet to happen.

The report also touched on KO’s “anti-Texas” angle on Monday Night RAW. It was assumed that Owens was being “set up” for a bout with Austin, but there was no confirmation of this.

As this year’s WrestleMania is taking place in Steve’s home state, the idea that one of the “biggest draws” in WWE’s history could be coming out of retirement would be huge. But will it happen?

With that said, Bryan Alvarez from Wrestling Observer also hopped on Twitter recently, confirming that the company is thinking about this. Only time will tell.

One person who will have a major match at this year’s WrestleMania is the men’s Royal Rumble winner, Brock Lesnar. He recently appeared on the Pat McAfee Show and talked about a variety of things.

Brock Lesnar – Changes In Locker Room

The Beast Incarnate recently chatted with Pat McAfee about the differences within WWE’s locker room today. He thinks that the younger talent needs to step things up.

As he puts it, when he first came to the company he was next to guys like Steve Austin and The Undertaker. Now, he’s the old guy walking through the halls.

He goes on to say that someone within these “young kids” needs to step things up and “get over”. He states talents need to figure out how to put fans in seats and “be different”.

It’s All About The Storylines

Lesnar was further pressed about the younger generation, and he believes they focus more on their “moves” rather than “good versus evil” storylines. Brock points to his current program with Roman Reigns.

He states that “the business” is all about good guys and bad guys. He notes its angles that pits people against each other that gets fans excited.

Between both of his runs, Brock Lesnar has about 17 years of wrestling experience. He’s also undeniably one of the biggest attractions the company has ever had.

Over his WWE tenure, Brock’s pretty much done it all. Lesnar has held the WWE Championship six times and the Universal title three times.

He’s also been crowned 2002 King of the Ring, 2019 Mr. Money in the Bank, and won the Royal Rumble twice. Once back in 2003 and now in 2022.

At the age of 44, The Beast might be winding down in his WWE career. However, the younger kids could still learn a thing or two from Lesnar.
