In one interesting idea worth pondering…should The Undertaker be inducted as a class of one in April? Plus, some backstage news on AJ Styles’ contract.
Should Undertaker Be A Class Of One
We already know he is the main inductee to this year’s WWE Hall of Fame…but should The Undertaker be a class of one?
As in, should he be the only inductee this year?
On one hand, the idea seems so crazy, right?
Every year, especially since the Network became a platform, we’ve seen WWE induct numerous Superstars and celebrities.
Each class usually has, when all said and done, nearly double digits of inductees. That, of course, counts the celebrity wing and the posthumous legends.
Now, a fellow Hall of Famer tossed out an idea that, while initially might sound crazy…actually isn’t.
Bubba Ray Dudley (aka Bully Ray) suggested on his Busted Open show, that perhaps Undertaker should be a class of one.

The Undertaker is one of the biggest Superstars WWE has ever had. Thus far, no one has ever gone in solo, and there have been a few where a case could have been made.
However, this is one where so many of the stars are lining up. It almost makes too much sense.
For one, WrestleMania is in Texas, Undertaker’s home state.
Another spin on it, is that the 2022 Hall of Fame induction is happening on the same night, from the same arena, as SmackDown. WWE is selling it as a 2 for 1 ticket.
Considering SmackDown is a 2 hourn show, and in years past the Hall of Fame ceremony has ran much longer than that?
Signs certainly are pointing to a pared down ceremony.
What better way to pare it down than to have The Undertaker get the honor of being a class of one.
News On AJ Styles Contract
From the Phenom to the Phenomenal One, we have some news on AJ Styles and his new contract.
In case you missed it, word recently came out that AJ Styles had become the latest Superstar to re-sign with the company.
Styles was due to become a free agent later in 2022, so this was a case of WWE looking to be proactive.
Per Fightful, Styles signed on the dotted line, again, for more than 3 million dollars per year.
On top of that, there were some travel related concessions granted to him in the new contract.
That likely means covering some costs, and perhaps some reduced travel at times.
Some things are clear with this latest re-signing.
For one, at least some Superstars are happy to be sticking around. If they weren’t happy, guys like Styles, Owens and Zayn could have all let their contracts expire and see what AEW would offer.
They did not. This means either they knew AEW was at their budget, or they just had no desire to move on.
It sounds like Styles is happy in WWE, and now he is going to be sticking around for several more years.
