Megan Anderson Finding New Ways To Enjoy Life, MMA

Former UFC title challenger Megan Anderson has not officially retired.

She is, however, finding new ways to enjoy life.

Anderson, a former interim Invicta FC featherweight champion, lost to Amanda Nunes in 2021 for the UFC featherweight title.

Since that time, she has taken on new roles. That includes gaming, streaming and working for both ESPN and Invicta FC as an analyst.

And she is happy with that.

“For all those that are asking and continue to ask me daily, I have no plans to fight right now,” Anderson wrote on Twitter. “I’m not saying that I will never fight again, but at this point in my life, I’m loving everything else I’m doing.

“From gaming and streaming, working as an analyst for ESPN and Invicta, and currently filming my first major feature film, I couldn’t be happier and fighting really isn’t on my mind.”

Anderson joined the UFC in 2018 and lost to Holly Holm via decision. She earned a TKO victory over Cat Zingano, fell to Felicia Spencer and reeled off finishes of Zarah Fairn Dos Santos and Norma Dumont.

That earned her a shot at Nunes, but she was stopped in the first round at UFC 259.

“I’m currently not affiliated with any gym, I’m not signed to any promotion right now and haven’t been pursuing a new fight contract,” she said. “I appreciate the love and interest from everyone hoping to see me in the cage again, but hopefully this answers your questions for now.”
