Saget’s Loyal Friendship With Loughlin

Loughlin and Saget starred together on “Full House” from 1987 to 1995, and in recent years, they reprised their roles on the Netflix reboot “Fuller House.”

They became such good friends over the years that Saget even publicly stood by Loughlin during the infamous college admissions scandal that landed her in prison for two months at the end of 2020, becoming one of the few celebrities to vocally defend her.

“There’s 30 years of love there,” Saget said in August of 2019. “More than that. So that’s all I got. I love her very much. And that’s it.”

Two months later, he elaborated further on this friendship with Loughlin by saying, “I love the people I love, and people go through life, and stuff happens … I love the people I love, and I have empathy for people that are in my life for 35 years,” he said. “I don’t cut people out.”

John Stamos Honors Saget

John Stamos, who starred as Uncle Jesse on “Full House,” also paid tribute to Saget by writing on Instagram, “I’m not ready to accept that he’s gone – I’m not going to say goodbye yet.”

“I’m going to imagine him out there, still on the road, doing what he loves with all his heart and humor,” Stamos continued. “He’s standing on stage, killing! Another two-hour set in front of a couple hundred of the luckiest people on the planet.”

“I’m just not ready to say goodbye yet,” he later added at the end of his post. “Maybe tomorrow. Maybe.”

While Saget’s death is still being investigated, law enforcement officials told TMZ that it appears that he died of a sudden medical event like a heart attack or a stroke.

“At this time, there is no evidence of drug use or foul play,” Chief Medical Examiner Joshua Stephany told CNN. “The cause and manner of death are pending further studies.”

Saget’s sudden and untimely death serves as a reminder of how fleeting life is. Our thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family during this difficult time.
