Hollywood Elitist And Global Warming Activist Leonardo DiCaprio Makes The Bold Prediction That Earth Has “Literally” Nine Years Left On Its “Ticking Clock’

Leonardo DiCaprio predicts that Earth has "literally" nine years left on its "ticking clock" if we don't "take science seriously."

Hollywood elitist and global warming activist Leonardo DiCaprio has recently made quite the bold prediction, claiming that Earth “literally” has nine years left on its “ticking clock” if people don’t “take science seriously.”

Whilst promoting his latest film, Don’t Look Up, DiCaprio said that “We literally have a nine-year window” to prevent a worldwide climate crisis before Earth’s “ticking clock” winds down.

Don’t Look Up is a Netflix-produced film that stars DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence in the roles of “two low-level astronomers who must go on a giant media tour to warn mankind of an approaching comet that will destroy planet Earth.”

In the film, DiCaprio and Lawrence’s characters aren’t taken serious, and the comet becomes a partisan subject. Director Adam McKay’s idea was to use the aforementioned life-threatening comet as a means to subtly tackle the topic of a possible climate crisis.

“To tell you the truth, there were some other films that were conflicting with [Don’t Look Up]. But I’d always wanted to do a film about this subject matter,”  the actor recently told Deadline, adding, “It is incredibly hard to tackle the subject matter over the climate crises in a two-, three-hour format.”

He continued, “It’s something like a slow, deadly roll, as far as ramifications of climate to the environment. I really just felt like Adam[McKay] cracked the code with this idea of it becoming a comet, and have society and the media and people make it a partisan issue.”

The actor went on to reveal that he’s had “two great passions in my life,” explaining that these passions are “acting, and the protection of the natural world and getting the message out about the climate crisis.”

“I’ve had a foundation for 20 years. I got to go to Glasgow. I got to see world leaders make some pretty substantial commitments,” he added, explaining that “much like [Don’t Look Up], there is a ticking clock.”

DiCaprio then asserted, “I think there’s a worldwide sense of anxiety about the fact that the powers that be, the private sector, governments, are not making the transition fast enough,” going on to predict, “We literally have a nine-year window.”

“So, this movie is certainly not that far off as far as the urgency of the matter,” the global warming activist proposed, explaining that he believes that “a lot of this has been shrouded and complicated by fake scientists who have been hired by oil companies” in order to “distract from the evidence about the impacts of too much carbon in our atmosphere.”

Further virtue signaling how much he cares for the climate crisis he incessantly lectures others about, Leonardo DiCaprio insisted on individuals getting involved and voting for the people who “care about this issue and take science seriously.”

“And the main thing that it boils down to is, if you’re an individual, you, A, have to get involved,” stated the actor, encouraging said individuals to “vote for people that care about this issue and take science seriously.”

DiCaprio continued, “And we should not have any elected leaders, on a state level, on a city level, or a national level that don’t listen to science, especially in this country,” explaining that “By population, we are per capita the largest polluters in the world, and even scientists have been saying this for decades now. We need to set the example for the rest of the world to follow. “

“We’re an incredibly rich nation and we need to make this transition,” the woke actor urged others, concluding that “We’re all crossing our fingers that Biden can make one of the more substantial plans to at least implement renewables. So, vote. Vote for people that are sane.”

Regarding this climate crisis the actor constantly talks about, DiCaprio claims, “We’re really at that point of having to take major action as if it was World War II,” claiming to have spoke to scientists who reassure “Each year is getting hotter than the next, and that doesn’t stop. We’re not going to see that stop.”

In 1998, the actor founded the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation (LDF) with the mission of “protecting the world’s last wild places” and raise awareness about Climate Change by  “calling on world leaders to address the global climate crisis.”

In 2016 nonprofit charity watchdog, Charity Watch, conducted a study that revealed that some celebrity charities, much like Leonardo DiCaprio’s eponymously-named foundation, are not as transparent as they may lead star-struck donors to believe.

The study singles out the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, concluding that “In CharityWatch’s opinion, charitable funds like LDF that are soliciting the public for donations should not be permitted to be structured as [donor-advised funds] since that allows them to avoid the financial and other transparency requirements that must be met by stand-alone charities.”

That very same year, the Hollywood elitist reportedly flew on a private jet to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, to slam “the corporate greed of the coal, oil and gas industries, claiming that “those entities with a financial interest in preserving this destructive system have denied, and even covered up the evidence of our changing climate.”

More recently, DiCaprio was photographed comfortably relaxing on Swiss billionaire Ernesto Bertarelli’s carbon-intensive luxury yacht in St. Barts whilst making the most of the last nine years the hypocrite actor predicted the Earth’s got left on its “ticking clock.”
