Henry Cejudo

One thing about Henry Cejudo is for sure, he can get people upset.

Cejudo, a former two-division UFC champion, walked away from the sport in 2020.

He had just defended his bantamweight title with a finish of Dominick Cruz and appeared to be on top.

Instead, the former Olympic gold medalist hung up his gloves.

Cejudo has remained in training, even working with Jon Jones. However, he appears to be ready to fight again.

Just under his terms.

That is not settling too well with UFC president Dana White as you might have guessed.

Over the weekend, White was asked bout Cejudo returning to challenge Alexander Volkanovski for the featherweight title.

“So I should have jumped over everybody and gave it to him because last week he decided he’s not retired,” White said (thanks to MMA Fighting for the quotes). “C’mon man, this is a (expletive) silly conversation.

“Isn’t that guy retired? He’s retired, isn’t he? I mean, the last time I saw, he was retired; now he’s mad that he didn’t get a title shot? It doesn’t even make sense.”

Conor McGregor decided to call out his fellow former two-division champion, referring to Cejudo as a “little fart.”

That of course earned a reply from Cejudo, who said McGregor “always run out of gas.”
