Saget Found Dead

Police confirmed that Saget was found dead on Sunday afternoon at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, Florida after he had performed a show there the night before.

“Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room. The man was identified as Robert Saget and pronounced deceased on scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case,” local officials wrote on Twitter.

Saget’s family told The New York Post [7] that they were “devastated” to have to confirm his death.

“He was everything to us and we want you to know how much he loved his fans, performing live and bringing people from all walks of life together with laughter,” the family said. “Though we ask for privacy at this time, we invite you to join us in remembering the love and laughter that Bob brought to the world.”

Saget was on tour and shouted out to fans about it.

More ‘Full House’ Stars Honor Saget

Tributes have been pouring in for Saget from his other former “Full House” costars as well, including from John Stamos, who played his brother on the sitcom.

“I am broken. I am gutted. I am in complete and utter shock. I will never ever have another friend like him. I love you so much Bobby,” Stamos tweeted.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who began appearing with Saget on “Full House” when they were very young, also released a statement after his death.

“Bob was the most loving, compassionate and generous man. We are deeply saddened that he is no longer with us but know that he will continue to be by our side to guide us as gracefully as he always has,” they told People Magazine [15]. “We are thinking of his daughters, wife and family and are sending our condolences.”

Saget’s sudden and untimely death serves as a grim reminder of just how fleeting this life is. Please join us in saying a prayer for his family and friends during this difficult time.
