You might be wondering, did a pair of Superstars say their goodbyes to NXT this week? And, what’s up with the booking of Nikki A.S.H. on RAW?

Did Superstars Say Goodbyes

The contract status of two NXT talents has been greatly discussed…so after this week’s show, did those Superstars say their goodbyes?

Based on reports from those in attendance, there is a strong possibility at least one did.

Perhaps both.

To catch you up, in case you have not been paying attention…

Kyle O’Reilly and Johnny Gargano both had expiring contracts with WWE.

Reports indicated that the company was interested in keeping both, and made offers to them.

However, as of now, there’s no indication either Superstar re-signed.

If anything, it seems those Superstars used Tuesday’s show to say their goodbyes.

Leading up to War Games, it sounded like Gargano knew he was leaving.

His fellow Superstars seemed to treat the show as his last with NXT as well.

Following last night, both men spent time in the ring, after the show went off air, saying their piece.

Without any further information indicating otherwise, it surely seems like both are gone.

Based on how they were booked on the show, it sure looks like they were written off.

O’Reilly lost to Von Wagner in decisive fashion.

Gargano started delivering an emotional speech, and while his position was less clear, it sounded like a man with nearly both feet out the door.

Until Grayson Waller sent him off with a vicious assault.

For O’Reilly, it was a clean and neat ending.

In the case of Johnny Wrestling, it’s more open. Should he opt to leave, he was written off.

However, if he decides to return, there is a ready-made feud waiting for him.

For now, however, it seems as though WWE has seen two more Superstars say their goodbyes.

Booking Of Nikki A.S.H

Watching RAW lately, you might be wondering about the booking of Nikki A.S.H.

Nikki has had an interesting and eventful 2021.

She has been both the RAW Women’s Champion, as well as one half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions.

However, now she is on a bit of a losing streak, and looks to be down on her luck because of it.

According to the Wrestling Observer, this booking of Nikki A.S.H. is being done on purpose. The intent is to try and garner her more favor or sympathy with the fans.

It is an interesting approach. I’d say it is also fair to question the logic of a depression angle.

On one hand, mental health is a big deal and has perhaps never had so much attention on it.

If WWE can use this angle and promote mental health in some way, maybe it makes sense.

Otherwise…I have a feeling this effort might not go so well.

My one hope, however unlikely it might be? If things get to a point where Nikki’s partner, Rhea Ripley, makes her snap out of things.

And, as a result, perhaps we get Sanity Nikki back.

Hard to not be excited for a team of THAT version of Nikki, alongside the goth influenced Ripley.
