‘BlackXmas’

“We’re dreaming of a #BlackXmas. That means no spending with white companies from Black Friday until New Years Day,” reads the official website blackxmas.org.

The official Black Lives Matter Global Network Instagram page supported this boycott on Black Friday by promoting BlackXmas, and therefore promoting the boycott of “white companies.” The official profile picture for the Black Lives Matter Twitter account has even been changed to the BlackXmas logo.

The three ways that supporters are told that they can take part in BlackXmas are as follows: Build Black, Buy Black, and Bank Black. Supporters are also told by the group to “buy exclusively from Black-owned businesses” claiming “white-supremacist-capitalism uses policing to protect profits and steal Black life,” according to Daily Mail.

Black Lives Matter Supports BlackXmas

Last week, the Black Lives Matter website published a blog post stating that “Black Lives Matter has been challenging people to ‘dream of a #BlackXmas,’ to intentionally use our economic resources to disrupt white-supremacist-capitalism and build Black community.”

Black Lives Matter pushes the claim that “white-supremacist-capitalism is complicit in the murder of Black people by police.” However, the group offers no evidence to back this up.

The organization also alleges that “‘BlackXmas ‘challenges us to shake off the chains of consumerism and step fully into our own collective power, to build new traditions, and run an offense as well as a defense.”

Black Lives Matter defends the boycott of “white” companies by saying that it “is about being self-determined and dismantling existing structures by building new, and more viable, beneficial ones.”

“As BLMLA organizer, Jan Williams, reminds us, ‘Capitalism doesn’t love Black people,'” Black Lives Matter said in a statement last month. “In fact, white-supremacist-capitalism invented policing, initially as chattel-slavery-era ‘paddy rollers,’ in order to protect its interests and put targets on the backs of Black people.”

Backlash Against Black Lives Matter

Conservative Clergy of Color, a national non-partisan civil rights advocacy group, is already calling on major corporations and businesses to cut ties with the Black Lives Matter movement over this boycott.

“Business leaders who rely on Christmas shoppers for so much of their annual revenue yet also fund BLM, which promotes boycotts of these same companies through #BlackXmas, must pick a side: capitalism or Marxism,” said Conservative Clergy of Color co-founder Bishop Audrey Shines, according to PR News Wire.

“It’s time for them to de-fund BLM now, stop the movement from ‘biting the hand that feeds it,’ and stand up against attacks on faith-based American traditions including Christmas. Most of all, corporations need to remember that #ChristmasMatters to Americans,” she added.

If any organization were calling for a boycott of “black businesses,” all hell would break loose, and the group would immediately be disbanded and vilified. Since its “white businesses” that are being boycotted, however, there is no outrage from the media and from the “woke” left.

The hypocrisy of the left never ceases to amaze.
