Duane “Dog The Bounty Hunter” Chapman has spent the past few weeks chasing down Brian Laundrie, who is suspected of murdering his 22-year-old girlfriend Gabby Petito. Now, Dog is issuing a plea to Brian Laundrie since Petito’s cause of death was revealed.
Petito’s autopsy results came in Tuesday, and Dog said that they made Laundrie “look guilty” because they showed that the young woman was strangled to death.
Find out more about the autopsy results themselves in the video below.
Dog Calls On Laundrie To Turn Himself In
“His best decision now would be to turn himself in,” Dog told The Sun . He also said that Laundrie’s parents “need to be doing more to signal Brian to stop running.”
“The coroner’s statement has established a timeline that looks worse for Brian Laundrie,” Dog added, going on to say that Laundrie’s “continued evasion of law enforcement makes him look guilty.”
“I can’t fathom how Brian’s parents can live with themselves,” Dog said. “They need to be doing more to signal Brian to stop running.”
“Strangulation is not an accident. It looks very bad right now for the Laundrie family.” Dog The Bounty Hunter’s response when I asked him what he thought of today’s update from the coroner. Dog Denies Search Is Ending
Rumors swirled earlier this week that Dog had ended his search for Laundrie due to an ankle injury. However, the 68 year old has since denied this. His spokeswoman told Yahoo News that he “will continue to search until Brian Laundrie is found.”
“Dog and [wife] Francie Chapman need to attend to a variety of matters at home in Colorado, including Dog’s ankle injury which occurred during the search,” the rep said.
“There is still a group of investigators working with Dog who remain in Florida and are researching regional tips,” she added. “Additionally, Dog’s command center team led by [daughter] Lyssa Chapman and Greg Zecca continue to assist in managing the search logistics and researching leads from Hawaii and Colorado, respectively.”
Dog Can Legally Detain Laundrie
An arrest warrant was issued for Laundrie last month, and Dog can legally detain him until police arrive, should he successfully track him down.
“There are also licensed people working with Dog, and also off-duty police,” his spokeswoman continued. “He’s covered to apprehend multiple ways.”
Laundrie and Petito set out on a cross-country journey in a van in June, according to Fox News , and the suspect returned without his girlfriend on September 1.
The 22-year-old woman’s parents reported her missing on September 11, and her remains were found in Wyoming days later.
Laundrie certainly has to be sweating with Dog The Bounty Hunter hot on his trail.
We hope and pray that Dog is successfully able to find him, and get Gabby Petito the justice that she deserves.
