While accepting The Executive Leadership Council (ELC) Global Game Changer Award at the organization’s Annual Recognition Gala and 35th Anniversary Celebration this week, former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick called on black corporate executives to do their part in trying to achieve racial and economic equality.

Kaepenick Issues Call To Black Corporate Executives

Yahoo News reported that Kaepernick demanded that top Black corporate executives team up to bring about these forms of equality.

“As you commemorate your 35 years of community impact and educational outreach, know, too, that I celebrate your accomplishments and recognize the importance of the work you have done in supporting global Black leaders who support our communities without apology or exception,” Kaepernick said at the annual gala.

Kaepernick went on to say that personal sacrifice and disruption is necessary to change the status quo and change the narrative for future generations.

President and CEO of The ELC Michael C. Hyter agreed with Kaepernick, saying that his vision for the ELC organization and its members includes commitment to the mission of bringing about change from the inside out.

“As some of the most powerful Black leaders in this economy, we have a responsibility to advocate for our rightful place in corporate boardrooms; not just for ourselves, but for the next generation,” Hyter said. “As recent historic events have illustrated, the Black community has cultivated some of the most influential women and men on the planet. We owe it to them, to our economy, and to those coming behind us.”

Kaepernick’s Netflix Series

This comes as Kaepernick’s new Netflix series “Colin in Black & White” is set to premiere later this month. You can check out a trailer for that below.

Kaepernick is hoping that the “woke” series will help him spread his race-baiting agenda.

“There are different audiences that the show will speak to differently,” he told Ebony. “When you look at Black and Brown folks, especially Black and Brown youth, the message is staying true to yourself, believing in yourself, having confidence in your identity, and not letting anybody take that from you.

‘I Hope It’s An Opportunity For White People’

“I also think that as we look at broader society, part of what the show speaks to is how whiteness shows up…and how we engage with it…but also the pressures, the microaggressions, the racism, and what that shows up as,” Kaepernick added. “I hope it’s an opportunity for white people to be able to look at their actions…how they show up in society and how they are engaging with Black and Brown folks…and look at their own privilege and perspective and be able to take away from this what actions they can take to improve the dynamics and the oppressive nature of systems and positions of power and privilege that they have.”

The left continues to treat Kaepernick as some sort of martyr. But, he’s really just pushing his agenda and making millions for himself by bashing our country.
