Bray Wyatt being released by WWE was shocking and now we are learning about concerns the company had. Also, Bobby Fish was hoping WWE kept him around as a coach for NXT.

Bray Wyatt Concerns

In two weeks, “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt will be free to sign anywhere. Given his popularity, there are plenty of options.

So far, AEW has said the two sides have not spoke. Also, there is talk Wyatt might head to Impact Wrestling.

Whatever happens, we will know soon enough.

Although, there still remains mystery over Wyatt’s release. Andrew Zarian spoke about the controversial circumstances surrounding Bray Wyatt’s release.

He noted three big issues from WWE’s side were Wyatt being hard to work with, his in-ring performance and weight.

“He was a little difficult, he had some performance issues in the ring, and he had some weight issues,” said Zarian. “I’m not saying that that’s the reason.”

“I’m not gonna say that’s the reason, but you can kind of piece things together – when you evaluate a talent, and you’re, like, ‘Okay we need this, and we need that, and this is the plan moving forward,’ you need someone… sometimes the decision is easier to make if you make it more difficult for them to make that decision.”

So, despite Wyatt being over with fans, it simply was not going to work in WWE due to their concerns.

Moving forward, there is talk that he will go by his real name, Windham. That name is very known in the pro wrestling world for the family’s decades of work.

Bobby Fish On Wanting To Stay In NXT

Bobby Fish made his name on the Indy circuit, especially with Ring of Honor. Then, he finally got the call to join NXT.

Almost immediately, he was paired with Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly and later Roderick Strong as the Undisputed Era. They found tons of success and lasted for years.

Then, Cole turned and the entire group went in their own directions. Unfortunately, Fish ended up being released by WWE.

Fish spoke on Insight with Chris Van Vliet and expressed that he is happy to keep wrestling. Although, he would have enjoyed working in NXT as a coach like Fit Finlay did.

“I thought that was where I was headed and I was okay with that,” said Fish. “I was welcoming that and thought, ‘Mmm, let’s see where this transitions.’”

“Fit, his career path and the way he was doing stuff when he had gone back for that Indie run and back to WWE, that was where I saw myself headed. It wasn’t in the cards.”

“Somebody had different plans and here we are. You can’t resist it, it’s just the way things go.”

“Everything has to evolve and progress to what it has to be. Change is inevitable.”

And, change is certainly happening. NXT has been completed rebranded and AEW is giving WWE a run for their money.

As for the 44 year old Fish, he was not unemployed for long as AEW called. He lost his debut to Sammy Guevara and then scored a win not much later.

Now, he calls AEW home. Plus, his old stablemate, Cole, recently joined and that could lead to something down the line.
