Meghan McCain surprised many people in July when she abruptly announced that she would be leaving the ABC talk show “The View” at the end of that month after three years serving as the token conservative on the panel.
Now, McCain is speaking out in an interview with her new employer Daily Mail to say that she has absolutely no regrets about leaving the show. She does not “miss it at all.”

McCain Has No Regrets About Leaving ‘The View’
McCain ultimately decided to leave “The View” so that she could remain in Washington D.C., where she has spent the pandemic with her husband Ben Domenech and their baby girl Liberty.
Since “The View” films in New York City, McCain would have had to move back there if she were to stay on the program.
“When I think about where I want Liberty to take her first steps and her first words, I just have this wonderful life here that I felt ultimately like I didn’t want to leave,” McCain explained. “I left New York during the pandemic and I had sort of had an existential crisis when my dad died. I got really scared and I just really started thinking about life and what I wanted and what I said on The View was true.”
“I just didn’t feel like moving back to New York was the right choice for me,” she added. “And it was a really hard decision, but, I feel really good about it now and I don’t miss it at all.”
McCain’s father, Senator John McCain (R-AZ), died in 2018 after a battle with brain cancer.
McCain Left On Her Own Terms
McCain went on to say that she was grateful to be able to leave “The View” on her own terms. Many women on the show don’t get that opportunity.
“I felt like I was really happy to do it on my own terms because a lot of people get fired from that show,” she said. “I was happy that I got to make the decision and be in control of my own life.”
McCain is clearly excited about the things that she’ll be able to do moving forward, as she indicated that she had to censor herself at times on the liberal talk show “The View.”
“I like change,” she said. “I like trying new things. And, you know, one of the opportunities here — and I’m also working on a lot of other projects — but especially at the Daily Mail, being completely uncensored and working for a company that really values true free speech.”

McCain Is Comfortable With Herself
After years of being attacked by liberals on “The View,” McCain seems more at peace with herself than ever.
“People really love fighting with me and I’ve come to terms with the fact that people love me and love to hate me,” she admitted. “I really have gotten to a place where I’m comfortable with that.”
After years of having to deal with liberal nitwits like Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg, McCain certainly deserves to be somewhere where she can share her opinions without being attacked! We wish her the best of luck at Daily Mail, and we can’t wait to see what she does there.
