Food Network Star Disavowed By Network After Pro-Life Tweets Draw Outrage

Josh Denny, star of Food Network’s ‘Ginormous Food’, found himself being cancelled and slammed by the network over pro-life tweets he made in response to the recent Supreme Court vote against blocking the Texas abortion bill.

38-year-old Josh Denny, who describes himself as a “cancelled” comedian and TV host, celebrated the bill that bars healthcare providers in Texas from performing an abortion once a heartbeat can be detected, according to The New York Post.

The pro-life Food Network star used a controversial slur as he also told women to “calm down”.  He also expressed skepticism that women would not know that they are pregnant within six weeks of conception.

As backlash on social media against Denny continued to mount, Food Network attempted to distance themselves from him.

“For those asking: Our working relationship with Josh Denny ended years ago and we removed all episodes he hosted at that time,” the Food Network said in a statement posted to Twitter. “His views do not reflect our company values and we regret giving him a platform.”

Josh Denny Fires Back After Food Network Cancels Him

The former ‘Ginormous Food’ host was not going to let their rejection slide.

Josh Denny then fired back to call out Food Network for hypocrisy. 

“If you regret having ever given me a platform, how about you send me a check for the 10s of millions of dollars my show made for your network(s)?” he tweeted. “You knew my views and my style of comedy when you hired me. My views represent the beliefs of half of this country.”

Denny told The Daily Wire that while he understands that his jokes may be offensive to some, he also believes that “nothing is off limits” in comedy.

“I think everyone has horribly misunderstood me: I’m totally pro-choice,” Denny said in another controversial tweet. “As long as the unborn babies are given AR-15’s to defend themselves, I’m fine with you going in there.”

He’s No Stranger To Controversy 

This isn’t the first time that Josh Denny has been involved in a controversy involving his tweets.

Back in 2018, he received tons of backlash when he refused to apologize for a tweet he posted that read, “‘Straight White Male’ has become this century’s N-Word. It’s used to offend and diminish the recipient based on assumption and bias. No difference in the usage.”

While he acknowledged that the tweet was “very incendiary,” he refused to apologize.

“I take responsibility for it,” he said at the time. “I said those things.”

Josh Denny was the host of “Ginormous Food,” which profiled restaurants serving America’s most gluttonous, oversized portions, in 2017 on The Food Network for 24 episodes.  

He is currently the host and creator of “Next Week Tonight,” a “future news” program, which premiered earlier this year on the far-right online outlet Censored.TV.

Clearly, Denny is no stranger to being targeted by the cancel culture mob. At this point no one should expect him to back down about his recent abortion comments.

We live in a time when most people are so terrified of the cancel culture mob that they submit at the first sign of trouble. Denny certainly stands alone in remaining unapologetic despite being targeted by cancel culture time and again.
