Dog The Bounty Hunter’s Stepdaughter Has No Regrets After Domestic Violence Arrest

Earlier this week, we reported that Cecily Barmore Chapman, the stepdaughter of Duane “Dog The Bounty Hunter” Chapman, was arrested in a domestic violence incident in Hawaii. Now, she’s firing back by saying she has no regrets about the incident, which involved her allegedly punching her boyfriend. 

‘I’d Do It Again’

“I’d do it again,” Cecily told Page Six, claiming that she was “attacked” by her boyfriend, Matty Smith.

“It’s truly sad that a woman who was attacked by a man and defended herself would be shamed for doing so,” continued Cecily, 28. “It’s gross. Let me be a voice of clarity for little girls everywhere … fight back before you become a victim.”

“I was attacked,” she stated. “I defended myself. I’d do it again. End of story.”

Cecily’s Arrest

On Monday, TMZ reported that Cecily had been arrested in Hawaii on July 31 for allegedly punching and biting her boyfriend. Afterward, the boyfriend claimed to officers that Cecily punched both sides of his face and bit his upper back, leaving him with marks, swelling and bruising. 

Cecily’s boyfriend, who has reportedly been with her for five years, said that she had been abusive in this way “several times” before. He called 911 this time because he’s had enough.

Prosecutors declined to press charges against Cecily for this incident, although they have reserved the right to change their minds and do so for up to two years.

Dog has yet to comment on this situation involving Cecily, who is the daughter of his late wife Beth.

While Cecily is not Dog’s biological child, he legally adopted her during his marriage to Beth.

Dog’s Feud With Cecily

Cecily and her half-sister Bonnie recently made the news by accusing Dog of being both racist and homophobic as they revealed that they were not invited to his upcoming wedding to Francie Frane.

Dog fired back by denying the allegations that the young women made against him in a blistering statement. 

“Sadly, Bonnie and Cecily have been employed by disgruntled former associates with multiple felonies who want revenge at any cost and are attempting to tarnish my reputation,” Dog said. “Please pray for Bonnie and Cecily to be released from whatever hold these people have on them. We love them and pray for them everyday.”

Clearly, there is quite a lot of drama going on in this family at the moment!

No wonder their reality shows have been so successful over the years. Here’s hoping that Cecily can overcome whatever issues she’s facing right now, and that Dog is able to make amends with both her and Bonnie.
