Dog The Bounty Hunter Joins In Search For Brian Laundrie In Gabby Petito Case

Duane “Dog The Bounty Hunter” Chapman has officially joined in the search for Gabby Petito’s fiancé Brian Laundrie after the 22 year-old woman’s body was found.

‘I Will Find Him’

Yahoo News [1] reported that Laundrie has not been seen since September 14, when he left the home owned by his parents in Florida. At the time, he told his mother and father that he was going to visit a local nature reserve to meditate, and they reported him missing three days later.

Dog, 68, visited the North Port home of Christopher and Roberta Laundrie on Saturday as he searched for their son.

“I need to speak to the father,” Dog said as he banged on the door of the house. “I need to ask him where his son is. Is he in there?”

“I will find him,” Dog bluntly told Daily Mail. [4]

Dog Confident He’ll Catch Laundrie

Though nobody answered the door, Dog seemed confident that he would find Laundrie.

“I’m chasing several leads,” Dog said. “We’ve got a lot of leads. I can’t tell you more but we are getting leads every 10 minutes.”

A representative for Dog said that the bail bondsman is “volunteering” his services and plans to cooperate with law enforcement.

“Dog and Francie have experienced extreme loss themselves,” the rep said, referring to Dog’s new wife Francie Frane, who joined him on his trip to the Laundrie home. “Their hearts go out to Gabby’s family and want to help bring justice for her death.”

Both Dog and Frane lost their respective spouses to cancer before they got married. Dog’s daughter Barbara Katy Chapman was also killed in a car crash back in 2006 when she was 23 years old.

Dog told The New York Post [6] that he’s already gotten many tips through his hotline 833-TELLDOG hotline, with several of them indicating that Laundrie was somewhere on the Appalachian trail.

“[Petito’s] friend Rose [Davis] said she was 100 percent sure and more that because of his past, being there for two months at a time that she said ‘I’m telling you right now that’s where he headed,’” Dog said.

Dog opened up further about his leads in the video below.

‘We’ve Gotten Over A Thousand Leads’

“We’ve gotten over a thousand leads… So we’re going through all those leads,” Dog told Fox News [8]. “It’s incredible pictures of him here, they’re here. We’re going through all those leads right now. I would say within 48 hours, we probably will have a location where we start the tracking at.”

“I’d like all the Christians out there to start praying,” he added. “What they haven’t asked for is prayer, now it’s time for prayer. These Christians get together. Please pray that God will lead me through the wilderness right up to it, and I’ll be able to bring him in alive.”

Petito was killed after she and Laundrie embarked on a cross-country road trip to tour various national parks. Her family reported her missing on September 11, after Laundrie returned home without her. There is currently a $30,000 reward for anyone who can provide information leading to Laundrie’s arrest.
