mask schools

As the pandemic roles into a Delta (and Mu, and soon after that Nu, Xi, Omicron, all the way down the Greek Alphabet) and the school year starts, we start to see hysteria, especially about children, ramp-up. Even though we know that masks, at best, have a negligible effect on children catching COVID, schools across the country are forcing young children to wear them throughout the day.

One substitute teacher in Las Vegas took this to a frightening extreme by TAPING a child’s mask to their face.

β€œHe went to get a sip of water, forgot to put the mask on. The teacher did not tell him to put it back on or send him to the office, she instead pulled him up in front of the classroom in front of all of the students and she then taped the mask across the top of his face.”

Here’s a clip of the mother telling what happened:

Long-term Effects Of The Mask Mandate

And this wasn’t just an isolated incident, as one child recounted that there were at least FIVE kids with masks taped.

I have to ask: What was this point of this other than humiliation?

You should have asked the child to put the mask back on, and they would have complied. Incidents like this can have lasting effects on a child’s psyche, especially when they’re developing as human beings.

Now before you go, “This mom’s an anti-masker,” she specifically said she supports children wearing masks.

I think you can support a mask mandate without being so strict that you assault and embarrass a child in front of their peers. This will linger with this kid long after the mask mandates are gone.

As for the teacher? Personally, this isn’t the type of person who is fit to be around children. If your first response to a minor infraction is to humiliate a kid and tape a mask to their face, perhaps you aren’t cut out to be a teacher.

Are Mask Mandates In Schools The Answer?

Some states are fighting back with Texas banning mask mandates. Now, of course, this doesn’t mean a child can’t wear a mask if the family feels it is the best decision; it just means you can’t FORCE a child to wear a mask.

I Blame Teachers’ Unions

Of course, making a kid wear a face covering is difficult, not to mention challenging for young kids trying to learn facial and social cues, but the union-backed teachers don’t care.

They didn’t even want schools open in the first place. So now they’re trying everything they can to close schools back down.

They claim they wanted schools re-opened but used their political power to get billions in bribe money to re-open schools, and many of their demands had nothing to do with COVID or child safety.

Here’s a bit of advice, if you don’t want to be a teacher without these draconian restrictions, then quit. Teachers are supposed to care about the kids, not their own selfish means.
