Pete Dunne WWE Contract

Pete Dunne’s future with WWE has been in question as of late. His contract unexpectedly expired in July and he signed a short-term extension with the company. Therefore, many wondered if his days were numbered.

Big Pete Dunne WWE Contract Update

For the past few weeks, Pete Dunne’s contract with the WWE seemed up in the air. WNZ finally has an update on all this.

According to Fightful Select, Dunne has re-signed with the WWE. He’s agreed to a new and long-term deal.

As per the report, the new contract is for three years. This would place him in the WWE until the summer of 2024.

The new contract was presented to Dunne by Triple H. This was before HHH took time off to recover from his heart surgery.

Pete Dunne WWE Contract History

Dunne entered the WWE in late 2016. This was when he was a part of the NXT UK Champion tournament. He lost to Tyler Bates in the finals.

However, he did sign a contract with the company at the time. Over the years, he’s become NXT UK Champion and he’s been an NXT Tag Team Champion.

Pete took part in last night’s big debut of NXT 2.0. He participated in the Fatal 4 Way for the NXT (vacant) title.

There were so many major waves made last night with the “revamp” of NXT. Plus, some big debuts to note.

Several Debuts On NXT 2.0

Bron Breakker debuted on WWE NXT 2.0 last night. His real name is Bronson Rechsteiner and he happens to be the son of Rick Steiner and nephew of Scott Steiner.

As briefly mentioned above, Pete Dunne, Kyle O’Reilly LA Knight, and Tommaso Ciampa battled it out for the vacant NXT Title in the main event. However, they cut a promo that was already taped for the show opener.

Bron and Knight had a confrontation backstage. Breakker introduces himself, looking for a chance to “prove” himself on NXT.

Knight and Breakker would have a match last night. In the end, Breakker pinned Knight cleanly for the win.

Breakker spent time in the NFL. He signed a deal with the WWE earlier in 2021.

Bron was part of the February Performance Center Class. Here’s to continued success in NXT and beyond.

Another Big NXT 2.0 Debut

The son of Bull Buchanan, former WWE Tag Team Champion, also had his NXT debut last night. Ben Buchanan, going as Brooks Jensen, is part of a tag team with Josh Briggs.

The two have a modern-day cowboy theme happening. They did a pre-match promo issuing a warning to the NXT tag team division.

Unfortunately, they then lost their match to Imperium’s Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner. However, here’s hoping for bigger and brighter days ahead for both superstars in NXT 2.0.

Buchanan was a wrestling star in high school. He signed with the WWE and was part of the August Performance Center Class.

Josh Briggs was the last EVOLVE titleholder. He signed with the WWE in October 2020.

Before NXT, Briggs was on 205 LIVE and NXT for a bit. WNZ is wishing both superstars much success in NXT 2.0.
