Amazon Manager Fired Viral Video

Cameras are everywhere nowadays on our phones and our doorbells. I feel like every other week there’s a viral video captured via ‘doorbell cam‘ of some awful example of humanity’s steady and sick decline. Well, not to disappoint, we have another one fresh and ready for you! We have another sour interaction with an Amazon driver.

In an expletive-laced rant, an alleged Amazon manager yells at a delivery driver, screaming at the man for daring to walk on his grass.

More via Too Fab:

The manager, later identified as Brad Boynton, drew heavy ire online when the Ring cam footage of their confrontation was posted online by driver Nikolas Mayrant’s sister. It’s unclear how she got ahold of the footage. While she claimed in her caption on the post that Boynton called her brother the N-word, Amazon told TooFab that wasn’t the case — but they still fired Boynton over the incident anyway.

I Always Feel Like Somebody’s Watching Me

If you’re an Amazon manager and have a Ring camera installed, you HAVE to know you’re always being watched.

Unless I am inside my own home, I am always assuming I am under surveillance.

We live in a 24/7 watch culture.

Everything you do can be pulled up and put under scrutiny like we’re in Minority Report. The manager obviously could have made a better decision not to cuss out a driver, but it wasn’t like the driver was innocent either.

The man was clearly in the homeowner’s face and then proceeded to walk on the grass, which is apparently a violation of Amazon rules.

This brings back a question lingering in my head: Are people more unpleasant nowadays, or do we see more unpleasantness?

Frankly, I tend towards the latter. People have always been jerks and inconsiderate, and there’s a good argument to be made that having cameras around actually improves behavior and holds people accountable for their actions.

There is an element of everyone being a little on edge as the pandemic rages on.

Many people have been stuck at home for over a year, and when you go that long without human interaction, sometimes you forget how to act.

Amazon Driver Claims Manager Shouted Racial Slur

As you can see in the IG post above, the driver’s sister claims that the manager used a racial slur.

The evidence is inconclusive, and both Amazon and the manager deny it.

I’m not sure either. Amazon would be the first to throw someone under the bus for using a racial slur.

So if even a dangerously “woke” company like Amazon denies it, then it probably didn’t happen.

Why is it always Amazon drivers but never USPS, UPS, or FedEx that get in these situations?

Probably because all of those companies employ full-time, trained, and professional drivers while Amazon lets anyone with a car make deliveries.

Call me old-fashioned, but perhaps we shouldn’t have just anyone with a car going door-to-door with deliveries. Shouldn’t they be made by a uniformed professional with a truck or mail car? Just a thought.

Did this manager deserve to get fired? Or is this cancel culture run amok? Let us know in the comment section below.
