Thomas Markle Stands With Piers Morgan Against Meghan – ‘She Lied’

Meghan Markle’s estranged father Thomas dealt yet another blow to their relationship this week when he sided with British television personality Piers Morgan in his feud against the wife of Prince Harry saying his daughter “lied”. 

Morgan stood by his criticism of Markle even after the media fallout. Back in April the unfiltered Brit explained his position to Tucker Carlson.

Thomas Sounds Off On Piers Morgan’s Feud With Meghan Markle

Then on Thursday during an interview with GBNews, Thomas Markle was asked about his thoughts on Piers Morgan losing his job on “Good Morning Britain” after accusing Meghan of lying about her mental health struggles in her infamous Oprah Winfrey interview earlier this year.

At the time, Morgan said, “I wouldn’t believe it if she read me a weather report.”

“Piers Morgan lost his job at ITV because he accused your daughter Meghan of actually lying to Oprah Winfrey during that interview. Do you believe that she was telling the truth?” host Dan Wootton asked Thomas. 

Thomas Markle: Meghan ‘Lied’

“No, she lied,” Thomas Markle fired back, according to Insider.

“She’s been lying for a year. She’s been lying about different things. Lying about the archbishop, I mean, how could you lie about the archbishop? How could you say we got married three days before we got married?”

“The lies are so obvious that I don’t know why she makes them or why she says them,” the father of Meghan added. 

Thomas went on to say that Meghan and Harry have been “attacking the royal family.”

“It’s embarrassing for them to be telling me about three years ago, never talk to the press, and they spend three hours on a show with Oprah,” he continued.

Meghan and Thomas have been estranged since just before her 2018 wedding to Harry. At the time, Thomas was caught staging paparazzi photos, and Meghan said that he lied to her about doing so afterwards. 

Thomas Wants To Rebuild Relationship With Meghan, Source Says

One insider recently told Fox News that Thomas is “getting up there in age” and still wants to rebuild his relationship with Meghan.

“He’s frustrated,” the source said. “He’s lived his life raising his kids. He moved to Mexico to live his life in peace and not to be completely blackballed and outcast. It doesn’t feel good [for him].”

The source also said that Meghan was closer to Thomas and the Markle side of the family growing up than she has led the world to believe. 

“He was an awesome dad to Meghan. For him to get heat and be portrayed as this money-grabbing bum is not fair. He’s not even like that,” the source said. “He did pay for her college. That is 100% true.”

Regardless of your opinion on Meghan, it’s a shame to see any father and daughter become estranged. Life is too short to hold grudges, especially when it comes to family.

Here’s hoping Meghan Markle and her father realize that at some point in the future.
