Kayla Harrison

Throughout her career, Kayla Harrison has been nothing short of elite.

The Olympic gold medalist steps back into the cage Thursday night as the PFL playoffs continue.

Harrison will meet Genah Fabian live on ESPN in one-half of the women’s lightweight tournament. The winner moves into the $1 million final against either Larissa Pacheco or Taylor Guardado.

For Harrison, this continues to be a work of art each and every single time she fights.

The 31-year-old from Ohio has fine-tuned her skills in mixed martial arts at American Top Team, working with some of the best coaches in the world.

She made her debut in 2018 with a first round submission win. Two more finishes followed before Pacheco pushed her to the distance.

After two more submission wins, Harrison again met up with Pacheco, and again, the fight went to the scorecards. That one, though, came in the tournament final and went 25 minutes.

But Harrison again showed why she is viewed as one of the best out there today.

Three more finishes have come for Harrison since that meeting, including a one-off fight at featherweight under the Invicta FC banner.

For Harrison, getting to compete on the big-stage of ESPN for the PFL is only enhancing her appeal and making her a bigger star. Look for her to once again show why on Thursday night in convincing fashion.
