Meghan And Harry Were Furious Queen Didn’t ‘Fully Own’ Racism Charge, Royal Biography Says

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were upset earlier this year because they did not feel that Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the Royal Family took “full ownership” of their racism concerns according to a new royal biography.

Meghan and Harry Royal Biography Details Displeasure With Queen Elizabeth

The couple’s frustration was revealed in an excerpt from a chapter of the new book “Finding Freedom,” according to Daily Mail.

The book is a royal biography on the married life of Harry and Meghan by Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand. Scobie is “a trusted contact of the Sussexes” and Durand the royal contributor for Elle.com.

Authors Scobie and Durand said that Meghan and Harry were not happy with the Queen’s response after they accused the royal family of racism. They write in the book:

“The Queen’s ‘recollections may vary’ comment did not go unnoticed by the couple, who a close source said were ‘not surprised’ that full ownership was not taken. ‘Months later and little accountability has been taken,’ a pal of Meghan added. ‘How can you move forward with that?'”

Twitter user SuperScuba83 called the couple’s displeasure “a bit rich considering…”.

Royal Family Accused Of Racism On Oprah

During their interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan and Harry claimed that an unnamed member of the Royal Family expressed concerns over how dark their son Archie’s skin would be before he was born.

Buckingham Palace responded by issuing a statement saying, “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.”

“The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning,” the palace said. “Whilst some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately. Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much loved family members.”

Scobie also spoke out to say that Meghan and Harry are entering a new “era of visibility” and “seem to be existing in a different place.”

“They’re a couple who do very well in those moments of human interaction,” he said. “They need to be on the ground. They say that the proof is in the pudding, and what we are about to see is that pudding.”

Meghan And Harry Prioritize Mental Health

Scobie went on to say that Meghan and Harry are trying to prioritize their mental health by avoiding “some of the toxicity” that they get hit with.

“They seem to be existing in a different place, and that place is much healthier,” he added. “Meghan famously spoke about that it was not enough to survive – we are now in the thrive chapter.”

Scobie was referring to the 2019 interview in which Meghan said, “I’ve said for a long time to H – that’s what I call him – it’s not enough to just survive something, right? That’s not the point of life. You’ve got to thrive, you’ve got to feel happy.”

In response to “Finding Freedom”, Buckingham Palace told the Huffington Post they don’t comment on books”.

These latest revelations signal Meghan and Harry are unlikely to stop criticizing the Royal Family anytime soon.

It’s a shame so see such a huge wedge being driven between Prince Harry and his own flesh and blood.
