It’s been over thirty years since the world lost Lucy. But, to the delight of Lucille Ball fans everywhere, the “I Love Lucy” comedy legend has managed to score her very own podcast and a movie starring Nicole Kidman!

Lucille Ball’s New Podcast “Let’s Talk Lucy”

The New York Post reported that Lucille Ball has scored a new SiriusXM comedy show, “Let’s Talk to Lucy.”

The limited three-week series will be premiering tomorrow on SXM Channel 104, as well as on Pandora and Stitcher.

The podcast will included newly-discovered interviews that Lucy carried out with Hollywood legends like Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand and Bob Hope.

Lucille Ball’s Daughter Lucie Arnaz Speaks Out

“It’s a treasure trove of personal information from some of the greatest talents of American entertainment,” said Ball’s daughter Lucie Arnaz. “My family and I can’t wait to share them with the rest of the planet.”

Ball carried out these interviews in 1964 and 1965, and they have been in Arnaz’s private collection ever since.

Ball conducted the interviews using her own portable recording device in her free time as she also starred in various shows, raised two children, and acted as the chief executive of independent television company Desilu Productions.

“Although I have been care-taking these ancient tapes for over 30 years, I had never really listened to them all,” Arnaz explained. “I had no idea how many remarkable people Mom had talked to on these radio shows.”

New Lucy Movie Staring Nicole Kidman

Ball and her ex-husband Arnaz are best remembered for starring in their sitcom “I Love Lucy.” Part of their lives is about to be chronicled in the upcoming movie Being The Ricardos, which will star Nicole Kidman as Ball.

“It’s been over thirty years zone right now,” Kidman told The L.A. Times of the role. “I’m free-falling. … I’d like to be funny. I’m never cast funny.”

“The strange thing about Lucille Ball is that everyone thinks we’re remaking the ‘I Love Lucy’ show, and it’s so not that,” she added. “It’s about Lucy and Desi and their relationship and their marriage. It’s very deep, actually.”

Nicole Kidman also said that she’s put a lot of work into perfecting Lucille Ball’s voice.

“The great thing about an accent is you can always go and fix it in looping,” Kidman said. “So in an accent, I’ll put the time in. I’ve had to put in an enormous amount of time on Lucille Ball right now because she has a very particular way of speaking.”

Between this movie and the upcoming podcast, Lucille Ball fans are going to get an entirely new view of the legendary star!

We can’t wait to see how each of these projects turn out.
