Former UFC and Strikeforce champion Miesha Tate delivered in her return to the Octagon Saturday night, scoring a finish over Marion Reneau. The bout served as the co-main event to UFC on ESPN 26.

Tate, who retired a handful of years ago from active competition, shined, finishing Reneau in the third round with strikes. She had two children during her retirement, but appeared to be ready to make another run if that is her desire.

In the main event, Islam Makhachev submitted Thiago Moises in the fourth round, securing a rear-naked choke to get the victory.

Mateusz Gamrot, Rodolfo Vieira and Billy Quarantillo all earned main card victories.

Gamrot stopped UFC veteran Jeremy Stephens in the first, locking in a kimura.

Daniel Rodriguez, Amanda Lemos, Sergey Morozov, Malcolm Gordon and Rodrigo Nascimento picked up wins on the prelims.

Quarantillo and Gabriel Benitez were honored as “Fight of the Night” with Tate, Vieira, Gamrot and Nascimento all scoring “Performance of the Night” bonuses.
