New The Flash Set Photos Tease A Trip to Tim Burton’s Batcave, The Return Of The ’89 Batmobile, And A Meeting Of Alternate Barry Allens
Leaked behind-the-scenes images taken from the set of Andy Muschetti's The Flash reveal the return of Tim Burton's '89 Batcave and Batmobile.
Newly leaked set photos from Andy Muschetti’s upcoming The Flash film have given audiences their first eye-opening look at elements of the film’s design and plot, despite these details currently remaining under heavy lock and key.
The first batch of images to slip through to the public (available to view through an archive of the new-copyright struck tweet) confirms the return of both the Batmobile and its familiar parking space in the bowels of the Batcave, as seen in Tim Burton’s Batman (1989) and Batman Returns (1992).
According to Slashfilm, the Batmobile, whose appearance has already sparked a frenzy of crazed nostalgia among excited fans, is an exact replica of the ’89 version of Batman’s signature vehicle. As for the cave, it consists of circular platforms, most of which are empty save the one where the Batmobile rests, positioned on different levels and seemingly built into walls of the cavern
Accompanying the photos of the cave and the Dark Knight’s unmistakable black car are a shot of present-day, gray-haired Michael Keaton, wearing a suit, and a photo of Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) doing his best fashion impression of Keanu Reeves in the Bill & Ted series.

Barry stands in Bruce’s lair wearing a white T-shirt, a long-sleeved denim shirt, and a yellow-on-gray hoodie. Befitting the Flashpoint storyline’s alternate-Earth paradox, the longer haired Barry stands in awe of Batman’s secret lair, appearing to channel the sense of wonder felt by Ted or Marty McFly during their respective experiences breaking through barriers of time and reality.
More images surfaced of Miller in his get-up outside the Batcave, but with an added twist taking further advantage of the Multiverse – As Barry, Miller interacts with another actor who is a ringer for his own appearance in both cuts of Justice League.
🚨ALERTA SPOILER DE THE FLASH🚨

The tweet in which these images were shared also contained speculation that one of the film’s ‘big reveals’ – potential spoiler alert for those daring enough to read on – will be Barry running into another version of himself from another Earth.
While nothing has been officially confirmed, it’s possible that this alternate Barry could belong to the Snyderverse, which would provide further proof beyond the participation of Ben Affleck’s Batman that The Flash is partially set in DC’s previous cinematic reality.
However, the question of what will happen to the Snyderverse and Batfleck after the film wraps still lingers, as many are worried that both the Snyderverse will be erased from existence or rendered non-canon and that Affleck’s Batman will meets his end, passing the torch to a new hero, in a moment of sacrifice.
But, as with the rumor that Michael Keaton will appear in future films as a mentor to such young heroes as Batgirl and other heroes, the above concern hasn’t been confirmed in the slight – a sure comfort to the DC fans and Snyderverse supporters who want to give The Flash a chance.
We find out if Flash is worth the wait on November 4th, 2022.
