Hulk Hogan is arguably one of the biggest wrestlers to come from the WWE. Of course, his success story led to plenty of backstage speculation.

Hogan had some WWE feuds that had truth behind the storyline. One of them included his feud with Paul Orndorff.

Way back when, Hulk Hogan started to ignore his friend Paul. At the time, he did the same thing backstage.

Hogan spent more time with Vince McMahon, but ignored most of the talent on the roster. At least, that’s according to the rumors at the time.

The feud eventually led to Orndorff turning heel on Hogan. To this day, it is an iconic feud that will be in the history books forever.

Big Cass Versus Corey Graves

Big Cass and Corey Graves also have one of the WWE feuds with some truth behind it. It all began when Cass accused Graves of browbeating Enzo on commentary.

Then there were the backstage attacks on Enzo. Big Cass eventually ended up accusing Graves of being involved.

In the end, Graves found the backstage tapes and revealed the real culprit as Big Cass. Then, Cass had his heel turn.

Naturally, we all know that Big Cass once dated Carmella. The couple split in 2018, after which Carmella started dating Corey Graves.

Interestingly, Big Cass and Corey Graves had a natural tension on screen. Whether or not this had anything to do with Carmella at the time is rubbish.

After all, the couple only started to date after Big Cass and Carmella broke up. Nevertheless, it made for good television.

The Wild Card

Back in 2019, Vince McMahon was trying to fix the slump in his ratings. To do so, he eventually came up with the wild card rule.

On an episode of Raw in May 2019, Vince McMahon once more became the boss character he portrayed during the Attitude Era. At this time, he brought forward the wild card rule.

Naturally, Vince McMahon appearing on Raw did entice more people to tune in. As a result, Raw experienced a minor increase in viewers that evening.

Of course, that was not the end of it. The wild card also meant that the clear divide between SmackDown and Raw was now over.

In the end, nothing much came from the wild card rule. Of course, except for the Vince McMahon ratings spike.

Taking Women Seriously

It is no secret that many women have felt frustrated in pro wrestling. And this immediately explains some of the current WWE feuds with some truth in the storyline.

At WrestleMania 32, women finally gained a platform to show their skills. Before this, it was not uncommon for women’s matches to get cancelled.

But this all changed with the likes of Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and Sasha Banks. It was quite the emotional match, mainly because of the true feelings of the wrestlers involved.

Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, and Becky Lynch battled hard to become three of the four horsewomen of NXT. They were also in the large part responsible for the women’s revolution in the WWE.

Since the match at WrestleMania 32, women’s wrestling was transformed forever. And it seems the women’s division shows no sign of stopping.

Hogan Gets Frustrated

The feud between Vince Russo and Hulk Hogan also had some truth behind it. Unfortunately, it was not the best thing to ever grace our televisions.

Bash at the Beach 2000 was absolutely horrible. And there was more to it according to Jeff Jarrett, who recently revealed all on his podcast.

Back then, Vince Russo had some serious real issues with Hulk Hogan. In the end, it led to a promo where there was no time for the Hulkster to get in a comeback.

Russo absolutely went in for Hogan, seemingly under the guise of a storyline. But in this case, Russo definitely had some issues with Hulk Hogan for real.

You do not need to know much about wrestling to realize that there was some serious real-life tension between Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. Just think about the Montreal Screwjob many years back.

Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels were arguably the best wrestlers in the nineties. Of course, this also meant there was some serious competition and jealousy between the men.

The two wrestlers did not get along, so Vince McMahon came up with a plan. In fact, he believed it was a good idea for both men to work it out in the wrestling ring.

Bret and Shawn had numerous matches against one another. And needless to say, many of those matches were classics.

Since both men really disliked one another, it made for TV gold. Eventually, it led to the Montreal Screwjob.

Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart mended some bridges these past few years. But during their prime, they could not stand each other.

Bret Hart and Vince McMahon also had some aggro with one another over the years. Of course, some of the most aggro came in 1997.

During the summer, Bret was negotiating his contract with Vince McMahon. But these contract negotiations were not going that great.

Unfortunately for Bret, this was only a couple of weeks before the Montreal Screwjob. But before that, Bret had to face The Undertaker.

Bret found out that Shawn Michaels would become the special referee during this match. Needless to say, Bret had some strong words for the chairman during Raw.

During his promo, Bret certainly called upon some of his real feelings towards the WWE chairman. And only a short while later, the true dislike would show between both men.

At the Montreal Screwjob, Bret Hart ended up spitting in Vince McMahon’s face. He would then leave the promotion for rival WCW.

In the end, it became an immortal wrestling moment still discussed today. But in the end, it is also one of the best WWE feuds with some truth behind the storyline.
