Deiveson Figueiredo is focused on getting past Brandon Moreno Saturday night and cementing his status as UFC flyweight champion.

From there, he wants to join an elusive list and add a second title to his resume.

Figueiredo and Moreno will meet in the co-main event Saturday night. The card also features Israel Adesanya vs. Marvin Vettori for the middleweight title.

For Figueiredo, this is a chance to one-up Moreno after the two battled to a draw in their first meeting. And also make his case for the opportunity to fight for bantamweight gold in the near future.

“I’m always looking for the big fights and I want the boss to listen to this one,” Figueiredo said (thanks to MMA Fighting for the quotes). “Cause I want him to give me the chance to move up (a weight class). Cause I want to get that belt.”

While it might seem as if he is looking past Moreno, that is definitely not the case.

“First of all, he talks a lot and I’m going to shut him up,” Figueiredo said. “Because I’m going to knock him out in the first round. I’m going to knock you out.”

He also acknowledged that he was “sick” in the first meeting and was “actually fighting at 30 percent.”

“I’m 100 percent and I’m going to give my all and you’re going to see what it’s all about.”
