While this weekend will see us without UFC action, the month of July is shaping up to be quite the rollercoaster of fights starting with Conor McGregor-Dustin Poirier.

The pair will meet for a third time on Saturday, July 10 at UFC 264 to begin a heavy stretch of action inside the Octagon.

While all eyes and ears will be on the epic trilogy between former champions, UFC 264 features some key bouts in different weight classes as well.

Gilbert Burns looks to bounce back against Stephen Thompson at welterweight, Greg Hardy tries to keep his position in the heavyweight division vs. Tai Tuivasa, Irene Aldana and Yana Kunitskaya square off at bantamweight and Sean O’Malley returns vs. Louis Smolka.

But the focus will be on McGregor and Poirier.

The two squared off to begin 2021 with “The Diamond” besting “Notorious” at UFC 257 by second round knockout. McGregor holds a win over Poirier from the first meeting.

Carlos Condit, Jessica Eye, Ryan Hall and Jennifer Maia are all slated for prelim action at UFC 264.

The following week, UFC on ESPN 26 takes place with Islam Makhachev and Thiago Moises meeting at lightweight. We almost were able to get Max Holloway vs. Yair Rodriguez, but Holloway was forced out with an injury.

Maybe the fight to watch there, though, will be Miesha Tate vs. Marion Reneau. After retiring at UFC 205, the former champion Tate makes her return to the Octagon.

Another long-awaited return is set for July 24 when TJ Dillashaw ends his suspension and meets Cory Sandhagen in the bantamweight division. Dillashaw was forced out after testing positive for EPO, dropping his belt in the process.

Uriah Hall and Sean Strickland meet to close up the month of July at UFC on ESPN 28. Get ready!
