Two more of the “big guns” of the Professional Fighters League, Fabricio Werdum and Kayla Harrison, hit the cage this Thursday night at PFL 3.

Werdum, the former UFC heavyweight champion, meets Renan Ferreira in the regular season of the division. This marks his debut with the PFL after signing following a lengthy and successful run in the Octagon.

Widely considered one of the top heavyweights of his generation, Werdum will be looking to cement his standing in the regular season opener – something that Anthony Pettis failed to do at PFL 1, but Rory MacDonald did at PFL 2.

Regardless, the unique approach of the PFL allows for a mistake.

Which is something Harrison has yet to experience.

The Olympic gold medalist is unbeaten in her career and will meet Mariana Morais as she looks for another lightweight title.

Harrison has been on a tear since becoming a full-fledged MMA fighter. The judo expert will look to impose her will and prove her place as one of the greatest female athletes.

The remaining card features Ali Isayev vs. Hatef Moeil and Genah Fabian vs. Laura Sanchez.
