Who’s missed Brock Lesnar? It’s been a while since the WWE Universe has seen the Beast Incarnate. With SummerSlam around the corner, many are wondering if Lesnar’s returning to the squared circle anytime soon.

Brock Lesnar At SummerSlam?

It’s been well over a year since Brock Lesnar has been in a WWE ring. The last fans saw of him, he dropped the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36.

Could his WWE hiatus be ending soon? Especially with SummerSlam, one of the biggest pay-per-view (PPV) for the company, on the horizon?

Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio was recently asked about Lesnar’s potential WWE return by SummerSlam. As he relayed, nothing’s been confirmed, but the idea is always possible.

No “Official” Word On Brock Lesnar

Meltzer noted that he has not heard about SummerSlam yet. Dave indicated he thought Lesnar’s return would’ve been at WrestleMania.

He also revealed that Brock Lesnar is currently not under a WWE contract. Meltzer also stated that Lesnar is not going to AEW.

Many fans would love to see Brock Lesnar back in the squared circle. However, his status is still up in the air.

It sounds like Brock Lesnar has taken a break during the COVID-19 pandemic. With lockdown recommendations lifting in different parts of the world, his “break” could be coming to an end.

If Bobby Lashley retains his WWE Championship until SummerSlam, meeting the Beast Incarnate would be a dream match for many. At this point, only time will tell.

Over at AEW, there’s one superstar who didn’t quite have a “dream” of a match last night. Seems as if this talent got completely knocked out.

Orange Cassidy Knocked Out On AEW

Anyone catch last night’s AEW match? The original plan had a very different finish for the Number One Contender’s Match.

According to PWInsider, the ending was altered because Orange Cassidy was legitimately knocked out during the match. The idea was for him and PAC to wrestle until a 20-minute draw.

A tweet below offers a video for some insight. Check out, below.

The stiff kick to Cassidy’s head could have rocked him. The report revealed the sunset powerbomb might have been the reason.

Orange Cassidy wanted to get up and finish the bout. However, at 13 minutes, a call was made.

Storyline Scramble

The above call stopped the match. But a scramble to change the angle was also shuffled.

Instead of the draw, as first planned, the match ended with a double count-out. Kenny Omega hit PAC with the title, which kept Cassidy in the championship match.

As per Tony Khan’s order, Tony Schiavone came out after the bout. He announced Omega will defend his AEW World Title against both competitors.

AEW’s Double or Nothing PPV takes place on Sunday, May 30th. As of now, the title bout is Omega versus Cassidy versus PAC.

Cassidy got completely knocked out last night. The good news is that everyone was able to think on their feet and change the ending of the match, to keep the “results” the same.

And, he was said to be okay in the backstage area. Therefore, the triple threat should be a go for against Omega and PAC.
