While Meghan Markle has taken much of the blame for the disaster that has been known as “Megxit” over the past year, a royal expert suggests that her husband Prince Harry might actually carry more of the blame for how badly things have gone.

Royal Expert Let’s Loose On Harry – ‘Not The Sharpest Guy’

“It’s a combination of Harry and Meghan’s fault, mainly Harry for not explaining it to her properly,” Robert Jobson, writer of the book “Prince Philip’s Century,” explained to Page Six.

Jobson went on to say that Harry may not have explained to Meghan just how difficult it is to be a working Royal.

“He’s not the sharpest guy, but maybe he didn’t want to explain it,” Jobson said. “It’s hard work being a member of the royal family. People think it’s not but it is. It’s not glamorous and maybe she didn’t fancy that after at all.”

Meghan Is To Blame As Well

That being said, Jobson went on to say that Meghan is certainly not free of her own fair share of blame. She could have shown more interest in learning about what being a Royal meant, and in figuring out how to adapt to the Royal household.

“It’s up to you to do your own homework if you want to marry into a prestigious family,” he continued.

Jobson added that Meghan didn’t really have an excuse for not being prepared for royal life. In fact, the palace assigned Samantha Cohen, a member of the Queen’s personal team, to help her learn what that really meant in terms of her working life.

Meghan Didn’t Want To Play Second Fiddle

Jobson believes that once Meghan saw that she and Harry would always be playing second fiddle to Prince William and Kate Middleton, she may have felt the need to leave altogether.

“When she saw that she had the little house and William and Kate were the number one couple she probably didn’t understand that and thought, ‘Well we can do better than this and start commercializing the royal family,’ well frankly that’s not acceptable,” Jobson lamented.

Harry and Meghan have since moved across the world to California, where they have signed lucrative deals to create content for Netflix and Spotify.

Jobson concluded by saying that the point of the British Royal Family has always been “service and helping others. It’s not to do with helping yourself. I’m afraid that’s what’s happened here. I blame Harry really because he knew the story but he wanted his cake and to eat it and you can’t do that.”

Harry’s actions have caused a major rift between him and his family.

It remains to be seen how this will turn out for him, or if he will go on to regret this someday down the line.
