Last month, British television personality Piers Morgan quit his job hosting “Good Morning Britain” rather than apologize to Meghan Markle on air for calling into questions claims she made about the royal family in her tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Now, Piers Morgan is revealing that members of the Royal Family have contacted him to thank him for “standing up for them.”

And, he also shares what he’d ask Meghan Markle if she’d sit down and do an interview with him.

Morgan Reveals Royal Family Thanked Him

He said that since leaving “Good Morning Britain, he’s gotten “some messages communicated to me” from “members of the royal family.”

When asked if the communications came from “upper-level people” in the royal family, Morgan got coy.

“Well, I’m not going to go into who it was, but what I can say is, gratitude for someone who was standing up for me,” he said.

And, in an interview with Extra, Piers Morgan was asked what he would say to Meghan if he could talk to her:

“I would say to Meghan Markle, ‘Look… sit down with me with your husband for an equally long interview… and let me ask you more difficult questions about all your claims… but let me ask you a wider question, which is this… If you hate the royal family that much… why do you keep your royal titles…? Why would you do that if it’s just not to make millions and millions of dollars…? And playing the victim as you do is nauseating.”

Morgan’s Family Under Attack

When asked if his wife has supported him throughout this scandal, the abuse Morgan’s family has taken over the past month became painfully clear.

“My wife’s always been completely supportive about this, but she hates the online abuse… The idea my sons had to be targeted by so-called liberals in a way that was threatening to them, abusive to them… is completely disgusting,” Morgan said.

“All I can say is there were 57,000 complaints against me, which were driven by an online mob that came for me all day, came for members of my family, who were abusing my sons all day long, issuing death threats to them. ” he also said. Morgan was referring to the reported 57,000 complains about him criticizing Meghan on “Good Morning Britain.”

His One Regret

As for whether he has any regrets about this entire situation, Piers Morgan says he only has one.

“The only thing I would have done differently,” he said, “I wouldn’t have walked out in the middle of the show the way I did; I don’t think Americans realized it was only for a few minutes and I went back in, and did two more hours of the show.”

In the end, Morgan is sick of all the race-baiting that is taking place when it comes to him criticizing Meghan.

“I’m not a racist — nothing I’ve ever said about Meghan Markle is racist or racially motivated,” he concluded. “I’ve been very critical of Prince Harry, and last time I checked he was white… and so I find this narrative deeply offensive.”

Given the fact that Morgan is one of the only public figures who has had the guts to call out Meghan for the attacks she’s made on the royal family, it really comes as no surprise that the royals are grateful to him when you think about it.
