Mick Jagger Shames People Who Won’t Get COVID Vaccine With New Song ‘Easy Sleazy’

Legendary Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger teamed up with Dave Grohl of The Foo Fighters to shame those who won’t get the COVID-19 vaccine with the new song “Easy Sleazy.”

This is in stark contrast to a song that was released a few months ago by rockers Eric Clapton and Van Morrison, who sang the anti-lockdown rock anthem “Stand And Deliver.”

Jagger’s ‘Woke’ COVID Song

“Easy Sleazy” features Jagger singing while Grohl plays drums, base, and guitar. In one shocking verse, Jagger rants against the anti-vaxxers, going so far as to compare them to flat-earthers, that is people who believe the Earth is flat rather than round.

The Daily Wire reported that the lyrics to this mockingly-toned verse include:

Shooting the vaccine, Bill Gates is in my bloodstream
It’s mind control
The Earth is flat and cold. It’s never warming up
The Artic’s turned to slush
The second coming’s late
There’s aliens in the deep state

“That’s a pretty mask / but never take a chance,” Jagger sings at another point in the song.

Here’s a video of the aging rocker right here:

Jagger Reveals Why He Wrote The Song

Jagger told Rolling Stone that he was inspired to write the song by “irrational” friends of his that are anti-vaxxers.

“It just seems to be that even people you know that are relatively sensible about a lot of things have one thing that they just don’t kind of get,” he said. “I have several friends and relations and they go off on these things that just doesn’t… They’re just irrational.”

“Of course, there’s no point in speaking to people about it. They don’t get it,” Jagger added. “They got what they believe in and they believe in that. And it doesn’t matter what you say, they’re gonna believe in it. And rational thought doesn’t work.”

Eric Clapton And Van Morrison’s Anti-Lockdown Rock Song

Though it’s unclear what “friends” Jagger was talking about, he may have been referring to his fellow rockers Eric Clapton and Van Morrison.

Those two joined forces at the end of 2020 to release the anti-lockdown song “Stand And Deliver.”

In this song, the two rockers expressed their frustration with the government-ordered COVID-19 lockdowns that have taken over the world.

“Do you wanna be a free man/ Or do you wanna be a slave?/ Do you wanna wear these chains/ Until you’re lying in the grave?” Clapton sang at one point in the song.

The song also includes other lyrics like:

“Magna Carta, Bill of Rights/ The constitution, what’s it worth?/ You know they’re gonna grind us down, ah/ Until it really hurts/ Is this a sovereign nation/ Or just a police state?/ You better look out, people/ Before it gets too late.”

“Dick Turpin wore a mask too,” Clapton sings at the conclusion of the song.

Turpin was the 18th century highwayman who wore a mask to conceal his identity while committing various crimes, according to Variety

I don’t know about you, but I know which song I’d rather listen to!

It’s sad to see Jagger go full “woke,” but it’s nice to see that there are still some rockers out there who are still not afraid to fight the system.

In the end, that’s really what rock n’ roll is all about!

James Conrad’s passion for politics is only overshadowed by his longstanding interest in Hollywood. His unique perspective as a gay conservative fuels him to challenge celebrity views and those who think they have a right to tell anyone how to think or vote. James proudly wields his minority point of view to combat identity politics and cut through his typecast. Fun fact: James’ guilty pleasure is the British royal family.
