Dana White

The UFC is heading to Florida, and fans will be allowed in attendance at UFC 261.

UFC president Dana White made the announcement in a video message released, pointing to April 24 and the VyStar Veteran’s Memorial Arena for the event in Jacksonville, Florida.

If it all comes to fruition, it will make the return to live event production after holding events in Las Vegas and Abu Dhabi in recent months.

And the event is sure to draw headlines and eyes.

In the main event, Jorge Masvidal challenges Kamaru Usman for the welterweight title for a second time. Masvidal stepped in on short notice to face Usman, coming up short.

Zhang Weili defends her strawweight title against former champion Rose Namajunas and Valentina Shevchenko puts her flyweight title on the line vs. Jessica Andrade in other scheduled bouts.
