She then explained she was seeing posts that tagged her and paid tribute to her tenure on the show, all of which spurred Rose to finally react with her positive feelings toward Day being cast.

“I’m seeing all the things I’m tagged in, with people sad or wondering how I felt,” she wrote. “I feel great, I have nothing but good vibes.”

By the looks of her comments, leaving Batwoman may be the best thing Rose ever did. She’s also remained consistent  in her admitted ardor and high spirits for the series’ future and where the network and head EP Caroline Dries are taking it.

Initially, they weren’t going to recast Kate Kane, and instead tried to keep the spirit of the mark Rose left on the character alive. Tanking ratings might indicate that approach didn’t work, thus prompting them to pivot.

Whatever the motivation behind the decision is, there is a new Kate Kane. Dries, who is as exuberant about her as Ruby Rose testified, told TVLine this week that she’s “excited…to see the journey that she endures.”

Kate’s enduring journey now taken up by Day picks up with her turning up alive unbeknownst to her family members Jacob Kane and Mary Hamilton, allies Luke Fox and Julia Pennyworth, and new Batwoman Ryan Wilder.

Anyone who still cares to tune in will see how it works out in the weeks to come when Kate reveals to everyone reports of her death were greatly exaggerated.
