Former UFC title challenger and Bellator champion Rory MacDonald will headline PFL 2 on April 29.

MacDonald will take on David Michaud in a welterweight contest as part of the season-long tournament for the promotion.

The event airs live on ESPN2 with Ray Cooper III battling Jason Ponet in the co-main event.

MacDonald will be making his promotional debut after signing with the PFL. Michaud was the 2019 runner-up at welterweight.

“PFL 2 is sure to be a thrill and full of suspense,” said PFL CEO, Peter Murray. “The world-class talent that these matchups offer is unmatched, and we can’t wait to see all of the action on April 29 on ESPN and ESPN+. This season will bring nonstop excitement and a world-class fan experience, and we can’t wait for it to begin.”

Along with those two bouts, the main card also includes Jordan Johnson vs. Tom Lawlor and Emiliano Sordi vs. Chris Camozzi.

On the prelims, Magomed Magomedkerimov faces Joao Zeferino, Smealinho Rama takes on Jordan Young, Cezar Ferreira goes up against Nick Roehrick, Gleison Tibau meets Aleksei Kunchenko, Sadibou Sy fights Nikolay Aleksakhin and Dan Spohn tangles with Marthin Hamlet.

“PFL prides itself on being a fighter-first organization and we look forward to seeing the superior talent in each matchup,” said PFL President of Fighter Operations, Ray Sefo. “I’m excited to see both the welterweights and light heavyweights live in action as I know PFL 2 will be one to remember.”
