The Professional Fighters League has landed another partner, this time in the form of Globo and Combate Network.

The PFL, which returns April 23 live on ESPN 2 with PFL 1, will now be available on Brazil’s No. 1 media company. Live events will air along with other programming and coverage through the main sports news, programs and sports portal in Brazil.

It marks the first time the PFL will be available through the Combate platforms, which include pay television, website, app and social networks.

“I am pleased to announce Brazil’s number one media company, Globo, will be the home of the PFL’s 2021 Regular Season, Playoffs and Championship events starting April 23rd,” PFL CEO Peter Murray said. “MMA fans in Brazil can watch the PFL’s season long action and witness the journeys of the best fighters on the planet including Brazil’s GOAT heavyweight, Fabricio Werdum, and returning PFL 2X lightweight Champion, Natan Schulte.”

“Our goal is to offer the best of combat sports’ world to the passionate Brazilian audience. The Professional Fighters League enhances our portfolio and makes us very excited with the opportunity to offer great content to millions of Brazilian fans which will surely engage with the competition and support the athletes,” says Rafael Gruenbaum, Head of Combat Sports & Combate Channel.

Werdum, a former UFC heavyweight champion, signed with the promotion recently and will make his debut this year. The PFL has also brought in the likes of Anthony Pettis and boxing world champion Claressa Shields to join a roster that includes Schulte, Rory MacDonald and Kayla Harrison.
