A rematch between reigning UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno is being penciled in for June, according to ESPN.

The two would meet for the title on June 12 after battling to a majority draw at UFC 256 in December.

Figueiredo left the Octagon with the title that night, but it seemed as if a rematch was definitely the next bout to make after Moreno pushed him for five rounds and 25 minutes.

The fight earned plenty of “Fight of the Year” interest.

Figueiredo won the belt in 2020 with a second straight win over Joseph Benavidez after missing weight in the first encounter and not being eligible for the vacant title. He earned a defense over Alex Perez before the Moreno bout.

Moreno is unbeaten in his last five fights and is 6-2-2 with the UFC.
