Dolly spilled the beans during an interview with Scottish ITV host Lorraine Kelly and “Bee Gees” legend Barry Gibb.

“We worked so well together on 9 to 5, it’s a crazy wonderful show,” she added.

“We’ve been trying to write me in somehow,” Parton said of her “Grace And Frankie” appearance. “So when it’s safe for us to actually do a production when they’re back, I’ll probably get around to doing that.”

This 9 to 5 Reunion Has Been A Long Time Coming

This comes a month after Dolly expressed interest in collaborating with Tomlin and Fonda again.

“She’s extremely busy, she’s always writing books or writing songs … she’s phenomenal,” Tomlin said at the time of why Parton has yet to be on “Grace And Frankie.” She went on to say that Parton’s role might be remote.

“We’re always hoping that will happen,” Tomlin added on the “Today” show last month. “We have a great role for her this time, I think she will do it. I’m just hoping she will.”

People Magazine reported that the production of the seventh and final season of “Grace And Frankie”  has been on hold for the past few months due to COVID-19, but it is expected to resume in June.
