Tom Brady Tyrann Mathieu

We’ve just learned that NFL Films will not release the audio of the exchange between Tom Brady and Tyrann Mathieu that occurred during Super Bowl LV.

Michael Irwin, NFL Hall of Famer and analyst on “Inside The NFL,” who has access to to the clips apparently heard the audio. Irwin said on “The Rich Eisen Show” that no slurs were used

Irwin said: “I didn’t like that Tyrann Mathieu put that out like that. Because, I go, come on now. It makes it sound as if — it makes people want to know, ‘What’d he say?'”

“As if he said the n-word. And he did not. Tom did not. So, you know, I didn’t like that even looming over this situation. So that’s why I think we should clean that up somewhere, somehow.”

Irvin added: “That’s what I’m saying. [Brady] didn’t say that.”

Irvin was barred from revealing what was actually said to the public by directives from “Inside The NFL.”

While Mathieu’s claim about Brady drew speculation that the MVP’s name calling had crossed a line, the inside source attests the jawing between Brady and Mathieu was nothing more than the usual profanity you hear on the field.

It’s too bad we can’t hear that trash talk audio given whatever was said resulted in a flag on the field against Mathieu.

We may never know what was said since NFL Films will be keeping a lid on the audio.

After Super Bowl 55, Kansas City Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu took to Twitter to hurl some serious allegations against Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady. Mathieu has since deleted the tweet.

Mathieu And Brady Go At It

Mathieu and Brady got into a heated exchange during the game.

The safety was given a penalty for unsportsmanlike conduct, resulting in a 15-yard penalty.

In the game, Mathieu and Brady butted heads several times. Brady even chased him down and got in his face at one point.

“He called me something I won’t repeat but yeah I’ll let all the media throw me under bus as if I did something or said something to him,” Mathieu said afterwards on Twitter. “Go back to my previous games against TB12 I showed him nothing but respect. Look at my interviews about him… I show grace.”

Unless Brady really did hurl a racial slur at him, it’s deeply offensive that Mathieu would even imply that that may have happened.

He should have either revealed what exactly Brady said to him, or not have said anything at all.

Mathieu Speaks Out

After the game, Mathieu told reporters, “Listen, Tom Brady’s a great quarterback. I never really saw that side of Tom Brady, to be honest. But whatever. No comment. It’s over with. I’m done with it.”

Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans was quick to defend Brady, saying, “We love that s***. … We love when he gets fiery and competitive. When he does it, a lot of guys back him up to help him out. We love the competitiveness that he brings.”

ESPN reported that Brady has since apologized to Mathieu for what happened via text, saying that he considers Mathieu to be a “class act” and a “great leader.”

Brady’s Support Of Trump

Brady has been hit with many attacks lately for his past support of former President Donald Trump, who he is friends with.

Days before the Super Bowl, USA Today published an op-ed that was titled: “Tom Brady has gotten an undeserved pass for his past support of Donald Trump.”

David Leonard, author of “Playing While White: Privilege and Power on and off the Field,” was quoted in the article ripping into Brady for supporting Trump.

“Whiteness is the benefit of the doubt,” Leonard said. “When Tom Brady says, ‘I was just given the hat,’ or ‘He’s just a friend of mine,’ or when he skips the White House and says, ‘I had a different engagement,’ he gets the benefit of the doubt. He gets to be an individual.”

“He reaps the benefits that we as white Americans reap each and every day in different contexts,” he added.

Brady seems like he is on the verge of being yet another victim of cancel culture.

If he’s not careful, the liberal lynch mob may indeed succeed in cancelling him forever.
