Country superstar Dolly Parton turned 75 this week. Many musicians and celebrities wished the “Jolene” singer best wishes on this monumental birthday:

But, Miranda Lambert’s was extra special.
Miranda and Dolly’s “Dumb Blonde” Duet
Dolly and Miranda joined forces in 2018 for a duet performance of Parton’s “Dumb Blonde.” It was for the Netflix movie Dumplin about a teen who is an enormous Dolly fan.
The two singers both hail from small Southern areas – Miranda from Texas and Dolly from Tennessee.
Miranda said working with Dolly was one of the most important moments in her life. Parton, who is known for her positive and fait-based attitude, clearly had a moving effect on the younger Country star. Miranda hasn’t forgotten Dolly’s kindness.

“Happy Birthday Dolly! Thank you for your bright light,” Miranda shared in the Instagram post below. “Singing with you and having some heart to heart conversations was a highlight of my life.”

The feeling is mutual between these two Country singers. Parton had very kind words for Lambert after their 2018 meeting and collaboration.
“She’s so quality. She’s so deep. She’s so talented,” Dolly said. “We really connected. We remind each other of each other in a way … that rawness and that country soul feeling. We’re just ‘feeling’ kind of people. I just somehow relate to her.”
Dolly’s Wish For Her 75th Birthday
Dolly thanked everyone for the birthday wishes as she hit the three quarters of a century mark. She has a wish for her birthday that everyone is kind to each other.
“Thank you for all of the love on my birthday ? This year my wish is a call for kindness,” she said in the Instagram post with a throwback photo below. “We can’t just hope for a brighter day, we have to work for a brighter day. Love too often gets buried in a world of hurt and fear. We have to work to dig it out so we can share it with our family, our friends and our neighbors. So today, January 19th, let’s get to unearthing love.”
