It has just been announced that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be reuniting with Queen Elizabeth later this year for the first time since they stepped down as senior members of the British royal family.

Harry And Meghan To Reunite With Queen

The Sunday Times reported that Meghan and Harry will be heading to London in June to attend the Trooping of the Colour, which is the Queen’s annual birthday parade.

The military parade, which will be in celebration of the monarch’s 95th birthday, will be the first national celebration in the United Kingdom since the start of COVID-19.

The Queen is currently isolating at Windsor Castle with Prince Phillip. Each of them received their first of 2 COVID-19 vaccinations.

“The current plan is for the Queen’s birthday parade to go ahead in London as normal, with the acceptance that it may need to be adapted or scaled back depending on what guidelines are in force at the time,” a royal aide said. “But the aspiration and the ultimate desire is to make it happen.”

The last Trooping of the Colour was a much more subdued affair due to the coronavirus pandemic. And, it was moved from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle. The Queen attended the celebration alone, without her family by her side.

This will be Meghan and Harry’s first time reuniting with the royal family since they stepped down as senior royals last year.

They have since “gone Hollywood” and moved to California, where they have signed lucrative content deals with Netflix and Spotify.

Last week, a source spoke out to say that Harry and Meghan have no regrets about leaving the royal family and moving across the world.

“The year started out with a lot of excitement and anticipation,” a source close to Harry told People Magazine. “Harry was finally doing what he’d wanted to do for years, and to have Meghan and [19-month-old son] Archie with him was all he could have asked for.”

“Despite everything that has been going on this year, they don’t regret their move to the U.S.,” the insider added. “They love that they are able to focus on projects and causes that are important to them.”
