Home Alone 2 Trump Macauley Culkin edit cameo out

A movement has been growing online to have President Donald Trump’s cameo in the 1992 Christmas classic Home Alone 2: Lost In New York edited out of the movie. Now, these calls to erase Trump from the beloved Christmas film have gotten a huge boost with the movie’s star, Macauley Culkin, throwing his support behind them.

Check out Trump’s brief cameo in Home Alone 2 below.

Macauley Culkin Supports Erasing Trump From ‘Home Alone 2’

On Wednesday, Culkin took to Twitter to respond to a fan who had called for there to be a “petition to digitally replace” Trump’s cameo in the film.

“Sold,” tweeted Culkin, who is now 40 years-old and played Kevin McCallister in the popular film.

Minutes later, Culkin took to Twitter again to respond to a fan who had edited Trump’s cameo out of the film.

“Due to popular request I have removed trump from home alone,” the fan wrote, to which Culkin replied, “Bravo.”

And so the cancel culture warriors responsible for this push get the endorsement of their dreams.

Home Alone 2 Director Speaks Out About Trump Cameo

In Trump’s less than a minute-long Home Alone 2 cameo, he stops to give Kevin directions in the lobby of New York’s prestigious Plaza Hotel. A hotel which the then-future president owned at the time.

Last month, Home Alone 2 director Chris Columbus tried to twist the cute story of how Trump ended up in his movie in a way that made the Republican look like a bully:

Like most locations in New York City, you just pay a fee and you are allowed to shoot in that location. We approached The Plaza Hotel, which Trump owned at the time, because we wanted to shoot in the lobby. We couldn’t rebuild The Plaza on a soundstage.

Trump said OK. We paid the fee, but he also said, “The only way you can use the Plaza is if I’m in the movie.” So we agreed to put him in the movie, and when we screened it for the first time the oddest thing happened: People cheered when Trump showed up on-screen. So I said to my editor, “Leave him in the movie. It’s a moment for the audience.” But he did bully his way into the movie.

The Hollywood Left Is Using A Cute Cameo To Vilify Trump

Of course, this doesn’t sound like bullying at all. More like a cute story story about Trump finding a clever way to get himself a small role in a beloved Christmas movie.

If Trump were a Democrat, this Home Alone 2 scene would be beloved today just as the way it clearly was by audiences in 1992.

Because he is a conservative, however, the left wants to erase all traces. They’re intent on not only shaming Trump for the way he made the movie, but also wiping his memory from it altogether decades after its release.

Cancel culture is real folks and you never know where it will strike next.
