UFC 256 has undergone several, pivotal changes to date. But, with the card now one week away, the event’s official poster – featuring its latest headliners – has been shared out.
The December 12th card was originally going to feature welterweight champ Kamaru Usman taking on Gilbert Burns and champ-champ Amanda Nunes defending the featherweight title against Megan Anderson. But, injuries to Usman and Nunes postponed both of those bouts.
Then the card was set to feature bantamweight champ Petr Yan versus Aljamain Sterling. But, Yan was recently forced to withdraw.
So, following UFC 255 last month, which saw Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno score wins, the UFC booked a bout between the flyweights for UFC 256.
Figueiredo defended the flyweight title at the event by quickly submitting Alex Perez, and Moreno stopped Brandon Royval.
The championship fight is happening just 21 days after the men competed, making it the fastest title-fight turnaround in UFC history.
You can check out the new poster below.
Here is the complete line-up for UFC 256, which will take place at the Apex Facility in Las Vegas.
