Bellator has been in the news lately on account of signing former UFC contenders like Anthony Johnson and Yoel Romero. Well, although another of the promotion’s new signings isn’t a UFC veteran, she is nicknamed after one of the company’s biggest stars ever.
Recently Alekseeva’s management, Sucker Punch Entertainment, shared out the announcement below.
Alekeeva’s nickname is on account of the fact that like Ronda Rousey, she’s a decorated Judoka who transitioned into MMA. The Russian fighter has gone 3-1 to date in pro-fighting, and she is reportedly a three-time silver medalist at the Russian Judo Championships and a Russian and European gold medalist at the Sambo Worlds.
